Today’s Exotic Bet Of The Day
Thursday’s exotic is a Swinger bet, in the 3:30pm at Southwell this afternoon, a Class 5 Handicap Hurdle. The Distant Lady is odds on favourite to take the spoils, so we go looking for a bit of value in this Swinger.
The first of the duo is Racing Spirit, who despite failing to find the win in twenty-seven starts, does pick up the odd placed finish, including two in his last four starts, including Hereford last November, when just a length off the winner. Returned to action with a flat run at Catterick, finishing ninth, but extra sharpness will help, as will heading back to flights. In good form and can go close.
The next selection is King Golan, who has won four times over fences, but so far has a record of 0-8 in hurdle races. Finished second in last outing, at Wetherby, (2m 3f chase, soft) in March. Should run fresh off the break and with a low mark, could find improvement over flights, finally.
