Today’s exotic is the “Swinger”, with these popular bets giving punters a solid return without necessarily backing the winner. We make our selections for the 4:15pm Kempton, a 6f Handicap race on the all-weather at Class 3 level.
The first of the two selections is BREATH OF JOY, who comes into the race looking for a third win in four starts, having already won at Haydock (6f, good) and stepping up in class to take the victory on her last run at Pontefract (6f, good to firm), beating Benefit Street by 1.75 lengths. She has placed in three of four starts on the all-weather, but may find it tougher going, now 7lbs higher. However on current form, looks to be in the hunt this afternoon.
Next up is FULL AUTHORITY who won on debut back in May of last year, when 6 lengths clear in a Class 2 Maiden Stakes at Chester. Returned to action at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) seventeen days ago and clearly needed the run, when 7 lengths back to the winner, when third that day and looks likely to strip fitter this afternoon on handicap and all-weather debut. Solid chances here.
