Race 1 (1:55pm) MIND HUNTER
Well handicapped off his flat performances and placed second last out at Doncaster 2m, good), at the end of January, when 2.5 lengths adrift of Taragrace, who has since won again. Camembert Electric and Karakoram are expected to be in the mix, but the shorter trip, should favour this Donald McCain Jnr runner, with plenty of prospects for the win
Race 2 (2:30pm) CHABICHOU DUPOITOU
Disappointed on debut in a bumper, back in November, before showing improvement on hurdling debut at Wincanton (1m 7f, good to soft) in a Mares Novice Hurdle, some 6.5 lengths adrift of Aliomaana. This Martaline mare is expected to continue the improvement in this contest and is expected to be in the mix.
Race 3 (3:01pm) MR GLASS
Dominant form last year, with four win on the bounce, including a Class 2 at Newcastle (2m 6f, good to soft) back in November. He has since placed an impressive third in the Grade 1 – Tolworth Hurdle at Sandown in January, when 18.5 lengths behind Constitution Hill, before a disappointing run, last time out at Wincanton, on handicap debut. More expected and it would not be a surprise to see Paul Nicholls charge take the spoils.
Race 4 (3:31pm) DANCING SHADOW
Victor Dartnell’s runner only has three career wins in forty-five starts, but has placed an impressive nineteen times overall. Form has dipped since a second at Sandown (3m, good ot soft) back in November, with struggles over an extended 3m 6f at Exeter, before being pulled-up last time out. Looks another who could bounce back, after a mini break and looks to have enough about them, to feature here.
Race 5 (4:05pm) ARBENNIG
Placed on debut, back in November 2020 at Hereford, in a bumper contest, but has not quite been able to improve in three starts since, although a third of four, again at Hereford last November, at least showed some progress, albeit still some 14.75 lengths adrift of the winner. Has had a wind op and could well improve now handicap chasing over a longer trip.
Race 6 (4:35pm) HELTENHAM
Didn’t make the best of U.K. debuts back in November, at Lingfield, but showed a big improvement, when third at Carlisle (2m 1f, heavy) last month, just 2.5 lengths behind Gold Emery. He has a decent mark now handicapping and with tongue-tie refitted a return to his winning French bumper form is on the cards.
