Race 1 (1:15pm) SALSADA
Four wins in eight starts for this mare, including the latest at Sedgefield (2m, good) back in October, when 13 lengths clear of Minella Plus, quickening clear in a hands and heels ride. Plenty more under the bonnet and should go very strongly here.
Race 2 (1:45pm) THUNDER AHEAD
Picked up a second career victory, last time out at Doncaster (2m, good), some 2.25 lengths clear of Rewired, last month, with the runner-up since winning. May need to show a little more this time around, but Alan King’s runner is a promising type, who can deliver.
Race 3 (2:20pm) KENSINGTON ART
Six time winner and another of the “last time out” winners in this list, with Donald McCain Jnr’s charge beating Astroman by 3.25 lengths at Huntingdon (1m 7f, soft) last month, with favourite Cornicello a further 2.5 lengths back. That was his third win of the season and despite a 5lbs rise, he can continue the strong form here.
Race 4 (2:55pm) DON BRACCO
Comes into this contest looking for a treble, having sealed a second successive victory at Ayr (3m, soft) last time out, when beating Shoeshine Boy by a shorthead, thirteen days ago, with the pair a further 11 lengths clear. He like the previous selection is up 5lbs for this contest, but he clearly has more to come, off the back of recent performances.
Race 5 (3:30pm) MILLARVILLE
Four time winner, with two of those coming in the last three starts, since a return to hurdles, The latest came three weeks ago, over C&D (good to soft), when narrowly beating Cancan by a neck. Looks destined to perform well once again, with Ryan Mania continuing onboard and looking to push for another victory.
Race 6 (4:05pm) BALRANALD
Maiden victory came at the sixteenth time of asking, when winning at Sedgefield (2m 3f, good) back in November and a length clear of Aire Valley Lad. Has since been pulled-up and finished fourth of ten in latest at Sedgefield once again, although the performance was better than the result suggests. Capable of getting involved at a familiar venue, but may need to show just a little more guile here.
