Race 1 (1.15pm) KEEP BUSY

Winner of a couple of Class 4 runs earlier last year, before bagging a second in a Class 2 nursery at Chester back in September. Stepped up in class once again, on seasonal return, when a16/1 second at Sandown last Saturday, to Lazuli. Should go well here and be in the mix in the closing stages.

Alternative Selection: Never Dark

Race 2 (1:50pm) SETARHE

Only run so far was in a fillies maiden, when coming off the pace to take the victory ahead of race rival Cirrus at Newmarket fifteen days ago. Roger Varian won this race last year and has solid chances this time around, although a big improvement is needed to top Mother Earth.

Alternative Selection: Golden Melody

Race 3 (2:25pm) LIPPIZANER

Winner at Naas on heavy ground, over 5f in March and reappeared there in June, when second over 6f on good to soft. Weakened in the latter stages of that last run, so looks to be more suited on the return to a shorter trip. Strong hopes and open to further improvement.

Alternative Selection: The Lir Jet

Race 4 (3:00pm) ELARQAM

Stepped up a level after winning the Group 2 York Stakes last Summer, finishing third in the Juddmonte International two months later. Returned to action thirteen days ago, when second in the Brigadier Gerard at Newmarket losing by a shorthead to Lord North, In solid form and has plenty backing him for the victory this afternoon.

Alternative Selection: Morando

Race 5 (3:35pm) LOPE Y FERNANDEZ

Finished third in the Irish 2000 Guineas last Friday, finishing 2.5 lengths off winner, Siskin. Finished behind main race rival Golden Horde in the Middle Park Stakes previous to that and was second to Pinatubo in the Chesham Stakes last year over 7f. Has strong chances based off the Guineas run and expected to push all the way.

Alternative Selection: Kimari

Race 6 (4:10pm) BERKSHIRE ROCCO

Won a Chester novices back in August over 6f, but looked strong when extending to a 1m 2f at Newmarket in a Group 3, finishing third on soft ground. Seasonal debut brought a second behind English King, in the listed Derby Trial at Lingfield a fortnight ago and again looked suited to the extended trip over 1m 3f. Loves this sort of ground and can go well here.

Alternative Selection: Santiago
