Race 1 (12:40pm) LULLABY
Useful Aidan O’Brien runner, who placed fourth on debut in the Group 3 – Flame Of Tara Stakes at Curragh (1m, good), when 3 lengths adrift of Magical Lagoon just fifteen days ago, More expected off the back of that performance and with Ryan Moore onboard, she will have a great opportunity to build upon that debut.
Race 2 (1:10pm) ABSOLUTE RULER
Scored on debut at Dundalk (1m, a/w) four weeks ago, when 1.25 lengths clear of Amortentia and a further 5.5 lengths clear of the rest. This son of War Front is expected to improve and pick up more victories, with this contest an ideal start.
Race 3 (1:40pm) MOTHER EARTH
Comes in looking to grab a third Group 1 victory, having won the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket (1m, good to firm) back in May and winning the Prix Rothschild at Deauville (1m, soft) last time out, when beating Sagamiyra by a head. Frankie Dettori’s ride, goes in as strong favourite and is the logical choice in this contest.
Race 4 (2:10pm) MAC SWINEY
Four career wins, with the last back in May at Curragh (1m, soft to heavy) in the Irish 2,000 Guineas, when beating Poetic Flare by a short-head. Has since placed 465 in Group 1 contests, with the latest run in the Juddmonte International, when 8.25 lengths adrift of Mishriff. Clear chances in this Group 2 contest and has big chances.
Race 5 (2:45pm) TARNAWA
Six victories and four places in twelve starts so far, including a double in the last two races, firstly at Cork (1m 4f, good), in a Group 3 contest, before easing to a 6.5 length victory in the Group 3 – Ballyroan Stakes (1m 4f, yielding to soft) at Leopardstown, ahead of Silence Please, with the rest a further 13 lengths adrift. Dermot Weld looks to be targeting this runner for the Arc, so it will be interesting to see how hard he is pushed, but on current form, has strong claims in this four runner contest.
Race 6 (3:15pm) INNISFREE
Two wins in five starts, including a victory at Curragh (1m, heavy) in the Group 2 – Beresford Stakes. Had not been seen for two years, but returned to action last month, when fifth in the Royal Whip Stakes, again at Curragh (1m 2f, yielding). Should improve off that return run and expected to pick up where he left off. Plenty of interest in Aiden O’Brien’s charge and should go close.
