Race 1 (1:15pm) FALL OF ROME
Winner on the penultimate start at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) in a Class 4 contest, when 0.75 lengths clear of Strozzi in July. Placed second in latest, also at Newmarket (7f, good), when half a length behind Neptune Legend, in a Class 3 nursery. First time cheekpieces are fitted for this one and another strong run is expected.
Race 2 (1:45pm) MONDAMMEJ
Three career victories, including last time out at Haydock (5f, good to firm), when half a length clear of Copper Knight. He rises just 3lbs for this contest and this is likely to be ran to his liking. Stong claims on recent form and Cam Hardie continues onboard.
Race 3 (2:20pm) LUSAIL
Comes in looking for a four-timer, having sealed a treble at York (6f, good to firm) in the Gimcrack last month, when 1.25 lengths ahead of Gis A Sub. Richard Hannon’s colt has also won the July Stakes at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) and is clearly capable at the highest level. Looks to be in a straight fight with Reach For The Moon for the spoils.
Race 4 (3:00pm) DANYAH
Impressive record of four wins and five places in ten career starts, including victory in the International Stakes at Ascot (7f, good to firm) back in July, when beating Star Of Orion by a short-head. Having really thrived in these competitive handicaps, it remains to be seen how far he can go and Owen Burrows’s runner has strong claims in this contest.
Race 5 (3:35pm) HURRICANE LANE
Five victories in six starts for Charlie Appleby’s runner, with recent wins in the Dante Stakes at York back in May, before taking the spoils in the Irish Derby at Curragh, when beating Lone Eagle by a neck, with the pair some 7 lengths clear of the field. That was followed by the win in the Grand Prix De Paris at Longchamp. If on his game, he will be difficult to beat and looks very difficult to bet against.
Race 6 (4:05pm) CARDANO
Six career wins, but the last of those was in February, when securing a double at Lingfield (1m 4f, a/w) and beating Myseven by 0.75 lengths. He placed second in a Class 2 at Musselburgh (1m 5f, good) back in April, but has struggled in two runs since, although both of those were at longer distances. Better claims, now back down in trip and should feature.
