Race 1 (1:55pm) DREAMLOPER
Sealed a double over C&D (1m, good) back in September, when a neck clear of Perfect Inch in a Class 2 contest. Returned to action a fortnight ago, when fourth at Haydock (7f, good to firm) and should be better for that run. Tends to run freely, which is a concern, but if she settles and takes on the conditions without fuss, she should be in the mix.
Race 2 (2:30pm) ALBAFLORA
Winner on debut at Haydock last June and has placed second in three of the four races since, including the latest here ar Ascot (1m 6f, good to soft) in listed company, just a head behind odds on favourite, Berkshire Rocco and finishing ahead of today’s rival, Without A Fight. More to come and should be in amongst them as they head for home.
Race 3 (3:05pm) DESERT DREAMER
Won on debut at Newmarket (5f, good), when 0.75 lengths clear of Bellarena Lady last month as a 25/1 shot. Three runners in that race have won, so form loos great, although she does have to give some weight to colts in this field. Andrea Atzeni rides today.
Race 4 (3:40pm) SYMBOLIZE
Only career win came on debut two years ago, but Andrew Balding’s charge has placed in three of his last five starts, including the latest at Newmarket (7f, good) last month, when 3.75 lengths behind Double Or Bubble. Has previously placed on soft here in the Group 3 – Jersey Stakes last year and can find today’s conditions ideal. Should strip fitter for the recent Newmarket trip and has leading claims
Race 5 (4:15pm) GROUP ONE POWER
Three wins in six starts, including a double early last year. After a minor dip in form, he returned to winning ways at Epsom (1m 4f, good), when 0.75 lengths clear of Soto Sizzler eighteen days ago on seasonal return. 4lbs rise is unsurprising, but having been lightly raced so far, there is likely to be more to come from Andrew Balding’s charge.
Race 6 (4:50pm) GEORGE BOWEN
Without a victory in over two years, but this 9-yo has started to return to form over the last few runs, with a third at Ayr (6f, good to firm) highlighting his upturn in results, when finishing just 3 lengths adrift of winner, Commanche Falls. Comes in off a career low mark, but should feature, now dropped to Class 4 level.
