Race 1 (1:30pm) ENDERMAN

Was slowly away on debut, when finishing fifth at Pontefract (good to firm), some 6.75 lengths off the winner. The colt did stay on relatively well, but was unable to make any inroads to the leaders over the 5f. Ground not quite as quick, which may help, while Paul Midgley juveniles tend to come on strong.

Race 2 (2:00pm) J R CAVAGIN

Decent debut in a competitive maiden at Doncaster, before becoming a 22/1 winner at York , beating odds on favourite, Nomadic Empire by a neck. Looks to be the main threat to favourite Brazen Belle and has a great opportunity to make it two in a row.

Race 3 (2:30pm) ORIENTAL SPLENDOUR

Comes into today’s race at the same mark as when winning over C&D back in July of 2019. Had a bit of a dip in form towards the latter stages of last season, but returned with a okay performance at Ripon last time out, finishing seventh, but only 4.25 lengths back. Should be sharper for that run and capable of more, although the favourite will be hard to beat.

Race 4 (3:00pm) BRAZEN PRINCE

Disappointing start, when eighth on debut at Thirsk (6f), looking a bit green in fairness, but improved dramatically, when narrowly beaten by short head at Catterick by Topper Bill, when racing over 7f. Stays at 7f, which certainly looked to suit in the last race and looks set to battle it out with Master Of Brazil for the spoils. Strong claims.

Race 5 (3:30pm) ELIXSOFT

Had been without a victory since March 2018 and barring the odd place, had not really looked like repeat the feat until taking the spoils, when a well backed 11/1 at Hamilton, having stepped up to a mile trip. Will need to back that performance up here, to prove it was no fluke, but reason to suggest otherwise. Gemma Tutty continues aboard and claims her regular 3lbs.

Race 6 (4:00pm) DANCIN BOY

Wind-op has certainly helped with his form since returning, with a fifth at Newcastle followed by a second in a Class 4, over C&D (both in June). He went better still, when taking the spoils at Pontefract by 1.5 lengths, having dropped down a level. Faces a tough task to beat strong favourite, Bottom Bay, but can go close.
