Race 1 (1:15pm) SPINAROUND
This team Gosden runner showed plenty of improvement from a debut eighth at Sandown last month, when placing third of ten at Leicester (7f, good to firm), finishing 2.5 lengths behind New Dimension. Definitely more to come, especially with Frankie Dettori riding onboard for the first time. Major player, if progressing as expected.
Race 2 (1:50pm) DUBAI LOVE
Consistent sort, with two victories and five places in ten starts so far for Saeed Bin Suroor. She returns to the UK after over a year away and races for the first time in eight months, having placed third in a Group 2 at Meydan (1m) back in January, when 3.25 lengths behind Althiqa. Very capable contender and should be in the mix, if able to continue that past form here.
Race 3 (2:25pm) ALBAFLORA
Two wins in ten, with the last of those coming in May, at Ascot (1m 3f, soft) in the listed – Buckhounds Stakes, when 7 lengths clear of Tribal Craft and a further 7.5 lengths clear of the rest in a dominant display. She finished 4 lengths behind Snowfall in the Yorkshire Oaks last time out and looks to be the best in this field. Anything less than a victory, would raise an eyebrow or two.
Race 4 (3:00pm) JUMBY
Three victories in nine for Eve Johnson Houghton’s runner, who has bounced back from a couple of poor runs, to place third hare, over 6f last month, when 1.75 lengths behind Great Ambassador, before taking the spoils in a three runner contest at Salisbury 31 days ago, when beating Albasheer by a head. This is another step up for this talented 3-yo and another strong showing is on the cards here.
Race 5 (3:35pm) BENBATL
Eight wins in nineteen starts, including this race in 2019 and more recently the Group 2 – Al Makhtoum Challenge at Meydan (1m 1f, fast), when 2 lengths clear of Military Law, with Gronkowski a further 6 lengths back. Comes in off the back of a second in the Celebration Mile and is expected to be in the mix once again.
Race 6 (4:10pm) WITHOUT A FIGHT
Added a fourth career win, last time out at Haydock (1m 3f, good to firm), finishing 1.5 lengths clear of Living Legend, three weeks ago. Picked up a solid fourth in the Geoffrey Free Stakes prior to that and looks an interesting entry for this contest. More to potentially come, but can play his part, if on form for the Crisfords here.
