Race 1 (1.55pm) CAMPROND
Three wins and five places in nine starts and has returned to action in strong form, placing second at Stratford (2m, good), in a novices hurdle at the beginning of September, before winning the Grade 2 – Persian War Novices Hurdle at Chepstow (2m 3f, good) and finishing 5 lengths clear of Luttrell Lad a fortnight ago. He looks the one to beat here, with Mars Harper potentially offering a threat. Philip Hobbs’s runner should take the spoils or at very least go close.
Race 2 (2:30pm) THIRD TIME LUCKI
Five wins in eleven starts for Dan Skelton’s charge and he looked strong, when second in the Grade 2 – Sharp Novices Hurdle at [Cheltenham](https://gg.co.uk/racing/15-nov-2020/cheltenham-15350 (2m, soft) last November, before taking the spoils at Kempton in a Class 2 contest on Boxing Day. He was unable to build upon those during the remainder of the season, with a sixth (of twenty-five) in the County Hurdle at the Festival, showing his ability at the top end. Comes into this chase debut, with plenty of interest and can show more over the fences in this contest.
Race 3 (3:05pm) SIRUH DU LAC
This very talented chaser, won four on the bounce for Nick Williams, including the Brown Advisory Plate at the Festival back in 2019, when beating Janika, but he has failed to finish in the three runs since, including the last of those a year ago, when unseating his rider in the Paddy Power Gold Cup back in November. He returns from a lengthy lay-off for this hurdle contest and if he can find some semblance of form here, he will be tough to beat, as David Pipe looks to rebuild his confidence. He has never gone beyond 2m 4f, so this 3m trip also looks an interesting switch
Race 4 (3:40pm) BACK ON THE LASH
Seven time winner, including here at Cheltenham, back in January in a Class 2 hurdle contest. Has won three of his last four runs overall, with the latest at Uttoxeter (2m 6f, good) in July, when 1.25 lengths clear of Thistle Do Nicely. Rise of 3lbs looks of little concern here and can make it four wins in six hurdle contests with a victory here.
Race 5 (4:15pm) MULLAGHMORE WAVE
Five race maiden, before picking up wins in his last two starts. He grabbed his maiden victory at Ballinrobe (2m 5f, good), when 10 lengths clear of Nuttorridge in July, before following up to make it a double at Downpatrick (2m 5f, yielding), when half a length clear of favourite, Lighthouse Rose and 6 lengths ahead of the rest. Has more to come for sure and John McConnell is a shrewd selector of races, so its very much of note, that the first UK appearance is in this contest
Race 6 (4:50pm) DEBDEN BANK
Martin Keighley’s runner was a seven race maiden, before winning three on the bounce, with the latest coming at Southwell (3m, good) in a handicap chase, winning by 7 lengths to well and truly leave his hurdling career behind him. Makes seasonal debut here and first appearance since a wind operation, but on past form, only more can be expected of this exciting competitor. Places at very least, look assured, with the win and a four-timer a very strong possibility.
