Race 1 (2:00pm) FLAMING RIB
Tom Dascombe’s runner had a solid debut, when third of seven at Ripon (5f, good) back in April, 5.25 lengths behind winner, Khunan. Improved in latest to win at Nottingham (5f, good to soft) in a Novices Stakes, 3.75 lengths clear of Amazonian Dream. Should be suited to 6f today and more likely to come. Dairerin looks the main threat here.
Race 2 (2:35pm) CORAZON ESPINADO
Seven career wins, with the last of those coming at Lingfield (7f, a/w) back in January, when 5 lengths clear of Ahorsecalledwanda in a Class 5 contest. Failed to build on that in runs since, however a second last time out, over the same C&D in a Class 4 back in April, saw them 1.25 lengths behind King’s Knight. Plenty of runs on the all-weather, but has won three times at Epsom and that may just swing things in his favour.
Race 3 (3:10pm) AL AASY
Willie Haggas’s charge has won four of his seven starts and comes into this race looking for a treble, having won the Group 3 – John Porter at Newbury (1m 4f, good) in April, when 4.5 lengths clear of Without A Fight, before going on to take the spoils in Group 3 – Aston Park Stakes, also at Newbury three weeks ago, when 4 lengths clear of Thunderous.
Race 4 (3:45pm) VICTORY CHIME
This Ralph Beckett trained gelding has nine wins in twenty-three starts, including over C&D (good) in April, when beating Sky Defender by 1.25 lengths, making it two from two at this venue. Acts well on good to firm ground and looks to be a big contender, even with a 4lbs rise.
Race 5 (4:30pm) ZEYAADAH
Scored a treble in her opening three starts, including the listed Montrose Fillies Stakes at Newmarket (1m heavy), when beating Mystery Angel by 1.25 lengths back in October. She returned to action last month, when second to Dubai Fountain in the Cheshire Oaks at Chester (1m 3f, good to soft), when giving away 3lbs that day and looks very capable of building upon that today. Main threat to favourite, Santa Barbara
Race 6 (5:10pm) MEU AMOR
One win in six, coming at Pontefract (6f, good to firm) back in August. Has shown plenty of consistency since, with a second in the listed – Bosra Sham Fillies Stakes at Newmarket (6f, heavy) the highlight, when missing out by a neck to Ventura Diamond. Placed fourth on seasonal return in a Group 3 at Lingfield last month and looks likely to build upon that today.
