Race 1 (1:00pm) LITTLE SUNFLOWER
One win in ten starts, taking the spoils at Lingfield back in December. She has placed second in the last two trips, including over C&D (7f, good to firm) last month, when 2.25 lengths behind Bahia Star, although she was moving all over the track during that race. If more settled today, should be in the hunt for the win and Marco Ghiani’s 3lbs claim will help too.
Race 2 (1:35pm) GLASVEGAS
Five career wins, with three of those coming in the last four starts, including last time out at, here at Brighton, when half a length ahead of Mamillius. Comes in just a 1lb higher and looks set to battle it out with Arabic Charm and Rovaniemi for the spoils.
Race 3 (2:10pm) FAST MEDICINE
Has improved in the three career starts so far, with a second last time out at Catterick (7f, good to firm), finishing 2.5 lengths behind Aquaman. More expected today and with a significant weight advantage over the main contenders, this could be a great opportunity to take a maiden win.
Race 4 (2:45pm) THE JEAN GENIE
Two wins in thirty-three starts, but with ten place finishes, William Stone’s charge should have improved on that. The last of those places came at Lingfield back in January, when half a length behind Subliminal, before a trio of lesser runs since. Drops to Class 6 for the first time and needs to improve to avoid making it twenty runs without a win.
Race 5 (3:20pm) ZULU GIRL
Eleven race maiden, who has placed in five of those runs so far, including her penultimate start over C&D (good to firm), when half a length behind Kendergarten Kop. Didn’t quite find that form at Lingfield in latest ln the all-weather, but back on turf, she should show better form.
Race 6 (3:55pm) KENDERGARTEN KOP
Comes in looking for a treble, having sealed the double last time out, over C&D (good to firm), when 2.5 lengths behind Alezan last Friday. Rise of 5lbs and no jockey claim make for a tougher task, but he has form, which many others in this contest, do not have. Strong claims once more.
