Race 1 (12:05pm) INDIGO BREEZE
Winner on debut at Thurles (2m, yielding) back in October, before finishing second at [Fairyhouse] in another maiden hurdle last month, when a shorthead behind Keskonrisk, who finished third in a Grade 1 contest yesterday to boost that form. Very capable of going all the way here and looks a stong opening selection.
Race 2 (12:40pm) MRS MILNER
Picked up a victory at Galway (2m, good) back in July, before returning from a break to place third at Ballinrobe (2m 6f, yielding to soft) in September. Finished a strong second amongst listed company at Cheltenham (2m 7f, soft) last month, just a neck behind On The Blind Side and looks an obviously candidate for a strong run here.
Race 3 (1:15pm) FURY ROAD
A couple of disappointing runs at this venue previously, but a greater stamina test is likely to aide his chances here. He returned for seasonal debut at Punchestown (2m 5f, heavy) in the Grade 2 – Celebration Hurdle, beating Dewcup by 3.5 lengths and with most recent run under his belt, he should be in the mix for this contest.
Race 4 (1:50pm) BLOODSTONE
Consistently improving n five career runs so far, with a third at Ballinrobe (2m 5f, soft) in October and then following up with a fourth at Fairyhouse (2m, soft to heavy) in a more competitive race Makes handicap debut this afternoon and has a solid chance for what is a very open contest this afternoon.
Race 5 (2:25pm) DELTA WORK
Looking to defend the title won when ahead of Kemboy lat year and beat his rival again in the Irish Gold Cup (3m, yielding to soft) back in February. Jumped poorly in the Cheltenham Festival equivalent back in March and looked to need the run on seasonal debut at Down Royal (3m, yielding) at the end of October. Should improve for that run and looks destined to be in the hunt for the spoils.
Race 6 (3:00pm) CEDARWOOD ROAD
Showed massive improvement at the end of last season, when winning a maiden hurdle at this venue (2m, soft) in December, before sealing a double at Naas (1m 7f, yielding to soft) in the listed – Kingsfurze Novice Hurdle. Finished seventh in latest, also at Naas (2m 3f, soft to heavy) back in November, when jumping left and needs to remedy that disappointment this afternoon, but expected to go well.
