Race 1 (1:10pm) LILIKOI
Three places in three starts so far for David Barron’s filly. Made a fair impact on debut, when a 100/1 third at Redcar (7f, good to firm) last month and has finished third in the two contests since, with the last of those coming eight days ago, also at Redcar (7f, good), when 1.5 lengths behind the winner, Grangeclare View. First trip away from Redcar, but with the longer trip potentially suiting, she should have a big say in this contest.
Race 2 (1:45pm) BLUELLA
Two victories in thirty-four starts doesn’t look especially appetising, however her form over the last two races has been very strong, winning at Catterick (5f, good to firm) last month, before following up with a second over C&D, four weeks ago, 2.5 lengths adrift of the winner. Not the ideal draw but on current form, looks capable of getting very close once again.
Race 3 (2:20pm) CRUYFF TURN
Winner back in September at Redcar (7f, good) and added a further victory last time out at Nottingham (1m, good to soft) eighteen days ago, when a neck clear of Baashir. Comes in 5lbs higher which makes this a challenge, but capable of going well off similar ground and should feature in what looks to be a very competitive contest, according to the markets.
Race 4 (2:55pm) TUKHOOM
Seven wins and sixteen places in fifty-six starts and looked to be returning to form after a third at Ayr last time out a week ago, when 0.75 lengths behind winner, Elixsoft in refitted blinkers. Versatile on most conditions and off the back of that more positive run, should be in the hunt once again, with a big chance of grabbing the spoils.
Race 5 (3:30pm) HARVEST DAY
Five career wins, but has not found the winners circle in the last eleven runs, with the third place finish last time out at Thirsk (7f, good to firm) last month, easily her best run in some time, just 0.75 lengths behind winner, Key Look. Placed second on only previous visit to Musselburgh (good to soft) back in 2019 and should be able to build upon that previous run here, with a strong chance under these conditions.
Race 6 (4:05pm) MUKHAYYAM
Picked up a victory in his penultimate start, over C&D, when beating two rivals last month and finishing a head clear of Glasses Up. Early pace in the latest at York, saw them struggle and drop back in the final three furlongs for what was a tougher engagement a fortnight ago. Just 1lb higher than the previous winning mark and has a strong chance today.
