Race 1 (1:30pm) CALM SKIES

This Sharmardal filly looked impressive on debut, finishing in a tie for second with Ardbraccan at Newmarket a fortnight ago, before being disqualified for hanging right and pushing her opponent across in the final furlong. Despite that, the performance was strong and providing she runs straight here, this Moyglare Stakes entry should be in the mix.

Race 2 (2:05pm) KINGMANIA

Looking for a four-timer, having followed up Class 5 wins at Yarmouth and Leicester (both 7f, good to firm), with a victory at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) in latest, when 1.75 lengths clear of Apres Dark. Rise of 6lbs shouldn’t phase them this afternoon and Chris Wall’s charge can go close once more.

Race 3 [2:40pm) ROYAL FLEET

Son of Dubawi, who has won both starts so far. He scored on debut at Kempton (7f, a/w) back in November, before returning for seasonal debut at Yarmouth (1m, good to firm), when 2 length clear of Sunrise Valley. For enhanced by the fact the second and third have seen won and goes in as clear market leader for this afternoon

Race 4 3:15pm) **(NATIVE TRAIL**

Purchased for 210,000gns and got off to a fantastic start, with a debut victory at Sandown (7f, good), when 4 lengths clear of Royal Patronage in a maiden contest, leading into the final furlong and extended the lead. Trainer, Charlie Appleby has won three of the last five editions of this contest and has a greta chance to add a fourth here.

Race 5 (3:50pm) PEROTTO

Four wins and four places in eleven starts so far, sealing a double last time out at Royal Ascot (1m, good to firm) i the Britannia Stakes, when half a length ahead of Liffey River. Did look to be tiring in the closing stages, which makes today’s 7f looks the ideal trip. 5lbs well in despite the penalty and offers plenty of opportunity to seal a treble this afternoon

Race 6 (4:25pm) OXTED

Five wins and four places in thirteen starts for Roger Teal’s charge. All victories have come on good ground or faster, including in this very contest, a year ago, when 1.25 lengths clear of Sceptical. Comes in off the back of an impressive win in the Group 1 – King’s Stand at Royal Ascot (5f, good to firm), when 1.75 lengths clear of Arecibo in a very fast paced contest. Faces a tough encounter, with Starman and Dragon Symbol in the mix, but should come out on top
