Race 1 (1:10pm) OUTGATE

Two wins in four starts for this Daniel and Claire Kubler trained runner, who picked up a victory last time out at Haydock (7f, good to firm), when 1.25 lengths clear of Mystery Fox four weeks ago. Exminster, who finished third opposes here, but this Nicola Currie ride looks to have a bit more to come and should feature once again, as they look for the double.

Race 2 (1:45pm) UNCONQUERABLE

Donnacha O’Brien’s runner impressed in four starts over in Ireland, with a win and three places, with that only career win so far, coming at Naas (7f, good), back in July, when a length clear of I Am Magic. He impressed on first UK appearance, when third in the Group 2 – Royal Lodge Stakes here, over 1m, a fortnight ago, finishing strongly. The increased trip thus should suit and make them a strong contender, with Frankie Dettori once again onboard.

Race 3 (2:20pm) DUBAI POET

Showed plenty of promise on debut, when fourth at Newbury (7f, good) back in August and built upon that in the next outing, when taking the spoils over the same C&D three weeks ago, beating Gaius by an impressive 5.5 length margin. Roger Varian’s charge faces a tough test here at this level, but there isn’t much reason to suggest that this Andrea Atzeni ride cannot show further improvement here, with places looking likely.

Race 4 (2:55pm) NATIVE TRAIL

There is no other option in this contest for me, with Charlie Appleby’s runner unbeaten in all three starts and winning the Vincent O’Brien Stakes in fine style, when beating odds on favourite, Point Lonsdale by 3.5 lengths at Curragh (7f, good) and adding a Group 1 victory to the Group 2 – Superlative Stakes win. Looks a different class here and without doubt, the one to beat.

Race 5 (3:35pm) M C MULDOON

In strong form of late, with two wins and three places in the last five starts, with Willie Mullins’s runner picking up the win last time out at Galway (2m 4f, good) in a Novice Hurdle, back in July. Was unlucky in the prior contest, when a short-head behind Reshoun in the Ascot Stakes and is expected to be a major player once again in this contest.

Race 6 (4:10pm) GALE FORCE MAYA

Eight wins in twenty-eight career starts and comes in looking for a hat-trick, after a career best performance, when taking the spoils in a Class 2 handicap over C&D sixteen days ago, beating Gellhorn by a neck and beaten favourite, Lovely Breeze 4 lengths off the winner. Returns to the top tier once again and with current form, looks a genuine contender for this contest.
