Race 1 (3:40pm) GUIRI
Consistent in five runs, just sitting in and around the places, with the latest of fourth at Leopardstown (2m, yielding) on Boxing Day, seeing them 9 lengths adrift of Dysart Diamond. Up just a pound since then and looks to have more to come. Simon Torrens rides, while first time cheekpieces can also offer further encouragement.
Race 2 (4:15pm) HEATHER ROCCO
Two wins from three starts so far, adding another win at Limerick (2m, heavy) last month, when a comfortable 16 lengths clear of Zanavi. Rated 134 and with jockey of the moment, Racheal Blackmore onboard, it’s difficult to see anything else but a win.
Race 3 (4:50pm) DECIMATION
One win and four seconds in five career starts, with the victory coming in the penultimate start at Down Royal (2m, heavy) in February. That was followed by an unlucky second in a Grade 2 contest at Fairyhouse (2m 4f, yielding) nineteen days ago, when a neck behind Ashdale Bob. Leading claims and improvement expected today.
Race 4 (5:20pm) VANILLIER
Has two wins and two places in five career starts so far, with the latest victory coming last time out at Cheltenham in the Albert Bartlett last month, when 11 lengths clear of Oscar Elite. Firmer conditions looked to suit that day and Gavin Cromwell’s charge should be in a strong position to make it a double this afternoon.
Race 5 (5:55pm) KEMBOY
Winner of the Irish Gold Cup at Leopardstown (3m, soft) in February, when 2 lengths clear of The Storyteller and accounting for Minella Indo too. He couldn’t repeat the feat in the Cheltenham equivalent, struggling for a third successive year, but has the chance to redeem himself in a contest that he won two years ago, when beating race rival Al Boum Photo. Fascinating contest and Willie Mullins charge can go close here.
Race 6 (6:30pm) KILCRUIT
Two wins and two places in four starts so far, winning a Grade 2 Bumper at Leopardstown (2m, soft to heavy) in February, when 12 lengths clear of Letsbeclearaboutit. Followed that with a second in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham, when half a length behind Sir Gerhard, with the two battling it out once again and likely to be clear of the rest of the field.
