Race 1 (1:00pm) ABBIE POWER

Looked very impressie on debut at Hamilton (5f, good) last month, when 2.75 lengths adrift of Atomic Force in a Class 4 contest. The third in that contest has since gone on to win, to further boost that form. Drop in class and extension to 6f offer plenty of encouragement for this strong favourite.

Race 2 (1:35pm) MADE IN BROCKLEY

Belardo filly out of Dance Company and costing 12,000gns. Half-sister to 2-yo winner Hammersmith and a point winner. Dam a 7f all-weather winner and half-sister to several sprint winners. Trainer George Boughey has a 2-yo success rate of over 30% and remains hugely respected in this contest.

Race 3 [2:10pm) KEYFAST WARRIOR

Eight race maiden, but has looked strong since returning to action last month, placing second at Wolverhampton (1m, a/w) twice and most recently, third at Lingfield (1m, a/w), when 1.5 lengths behind Final Fantasy. Makes turf debut today and based off of recent performances, should at least go close once again.

Race 4 (2:45pm) FORZA ORTA

Debut second at Carlisle (1m 1f, good to soft) last month was impressive, finishing just a length behind Noble Crusade. Ran a little green despite going close and the third has since won, to boost form. Outside draw isn’t ideal, but solid chances once again.

Race 5 (3:20pm) PROUD ARCHI

Without a win in almost three years now, but recent form suggests a return could come soon, having placed third at Beverley (7f, good to firm) and then repeating the feat over the same C&D eight days ago on good ground. Both of those saw cheekpieces fitted, which are retained and comes into today’s run off the same mark too. Strong chances here.

Race 6 (3:55pm) COMMANCHE FALLS

Strong record, with six wins in thirteen start, including two in the last three runs. He took the spoils at Ripon (6f, good to firm) four weeks ago, when 0.75 lengths clear of I’m A Dreamer. Drawn in stall 1 which isn’t ideal, but this looks to be a straight fight with Rathbone, according to the market.
