Race 1 (1:15pm) GENESIUS

Picked up a second win in ten career starts last time out, when half a length clear of Bug Boy at Goodwood (1m 3f, good to firm) three weeks ago. 4lbs higher in this lower grade race and looks to have a strong chance

Race 2 (1:45pm) JOHNNY BOOM

Richard Fahey’s charge has continually showed improvement and placed third at Redcar (7f, good to firm) in April, before building upon that for a maiden victory at Beverley (1m 1f, good) nine days ago, beating Out Of Sight by 3.75 lengths, having taken the lead a furlong out. Up 6lbs today and due a further rise, so goes looking to take advantage this afternoon. Clear favourite to take the victory.

Race 3 [2:20pm) MANACCAN

Promising start when fourth of eight at Ayr (6f, good to firm) and just 1.25 lengths adrift of the winner, Red Power a month ago. Solid sprint pedigree and will be better for that opening trip. Every chance today and Adam Kirby rides.

Race 4 (2:55pm) ELECTRIC LOVE

Picked up seconds at both Wolverhampton (6f, a/w) and Thirsk (6f, good to firm) earlier in the year across her opening three runs, before finally grabbing a maiden win over today’s C&D just six days ago, when 2.5 lengths clear of Passional. Has a penalty but looks to be in dominant form and with Laura Pearson claiming 5lbs once again, has a golden opportunity here

Race 5 (3:30pm) MY SWALLOW

Winner back in September at Sandown (7f, good) and has placed twice in three runs since then, including last time out at Chelmsford last month, when half a length behind Kaheall in a strong handicap contest. Drop in class will of course help and on current form should go close.

Race 6 (4:05pm) SEMPER AUGUSTUS

Eight race maiden, who showed a bit of his ability, when second at Kempton, back In January. Things finally clicked into place last time out at Newbury (1m, good to firm), when taking the spoils by 0.75 lengths, ahead of Wholelotafun. Up 4lbs for this contest and looks capable of another strong performance in this tougher race.
