Race 1 (1:40pm) CANONIZED

Debut last month and picked up a victory just fifteen days ago at Goodwood (5f, good to firm) in a Novice Stakes, beating Koda Legend by 1.25 lengths. Pedigree suggest further improvement is likely, with Willie Haggas’s runner expected to feature.

Race 2 (2:10pm) SNOW LANTERN

Debut second last Summer, when 1.25 lengths behind Zabeel Queen at Ascot (7f, good to firm) and returned to action last month to take the spoils at Newbury (1m, good) in a Class 4 contest, 1.75 lengths clear of Derab.

Fantastic Fox who finished third, has since won to back up that form and this daughter of 1,000 Guineas winner, Sky Lantern will have more to come

Race 3 (2:40pm) IRISH ADMIRAL

Two wins in three starts, including last time out at Wolverhampton (1m, a/w) on return from a six month break, beating Big Wing by 2.75 lengths. Tough ask on handicap debut, off a mark of 95, but unexposed and should stay the 1m 2f trip.

Race 4 (3:10pm) SANTIAGO

Three wins in seven starts, including the Group 2 – Queens Vase at Ascot and of course the Irish Derby at Curragh (1m 4f, good) last June, when beating Tiger Moth by a head.

Returned nineteen days ago at Navan (1m 6f, good) in a Group 3 contest, but disappointed with a fourth that day, however he will be fitter for that run and a resurgence is very likely this afternoon

Race 5 (3:40pm) SHAWAAMEKH

Three wins and six places overall, with the last of the victories coming at Thirsk (7f, good to soft), nearly two years ago.

Form had not been great, but a strong fourth finish at Chester (7f, good to soft) last week, on his first run since wind surgery has boosted hopes here. Well handicapped and is expected to be right up there, as they head into the closing stages. Harrison Shaw continues onboard.

Race 6 (4:15pm) TWEET TWEET

After a second and third in her opening two career starts, she finally stepped up to win last time out at Thirsk (5f, good to firm) last month, when 2.5 lengths clear of Bedford Flyer. Up some 10lbs for today’s contest but is expected to improve. Conditions should also be fine, having shown promise on good to soft in her penultimate run.
