Tote Placepot Selections For Kempton (Saturday 14th March)

The Tote’s excellent Placepot bet offers a chance for punters to win big on multiples with relatively small stakes. Check out our six selections for today’s Tote Placepot at Kempton this afternoon.

Race 1 (1.00pm) GLOBAL SOCIETY

Picked up three successive runner-up spots last Summer, before switching to Nicky Henderson yard and going one better, when taking the spoils at Doncaster (2m). Was pulled up on last run, when running to freely here in February over 2m 5f. Reverts back to more favourable distance and with its hoped a fitted hood will help him settle.

Race 2 (1:130pm) ON THE SLOPES

Taken to chasing well, with the third place at Cheltenham in January, seeing the two runners ahead, winning at the Festival (Simply The Betts / Imperial Aura. Followed on with a win over 2m 2f at todays venue in a Class 3 novices handicap. Drops to 2m will should not be an issue, although rises 7lbs today. Looks the one to beat.

Race 3 (2:05pm MCFABULOUS

Dual bumper winner including Aintree last April, has a record of 241 over hurdles so far, with the win coming at Market Rasen over 2m 4f, on good to soft. Extends trip today and looks to have more to come overall. Clear favourite and obvious selection here.

Race 4 (2:40pm) OUR POWER

Had a couple of solid runs over course an distance since switching to the Twiston-Davies yard, including a third on his last run in February, when 2.75 lengths off winner and todays race rival Downtown Getaway despite losing a shoe. Picks up a 3lb swing in his favour today and can go close once more this afternoon.

Race 5 (3:15pm) LEGAL EYES

Record of 2-3 over fences. Picked up a win at Plumpton (2m 4f), before being pulled-up at Sandown with breathing issue. Returned to action on first run since wind surgery and picked up a victory at Kempton over 3m, winning by an impressive 11 lengths last month. Expect more to come and he should be right up there come the closing stages.

Race 6 (3:50pm) FAROUK DE CHENEAU

Makes debut for Nicky Henderson but has a record of 271 in France, with the victory coming back in the Summer at Vittel (2m 3f, good to soft). Based on that run and Henderson’s keen eye, warrants interest on these basis alone.
