Race 1 (1:20pm) DEL LA MAR ROCKET

Two wins to his name, including last time out at Ffos Las (2 5f, soft), with Ben Pauling’s runner beating Phantom Getaway by 8.5 lengths. Still concerns over whether he can find that consistency over several runs, but under penalty can go very close again, if can provide a similar performance.

Race 2 (1:50pm) WELSH SAINT

Without a win since December 2019, but recent form has suggested a return to that level, having placed second at Wincanton (2m 3f, good to soft) in January, before following up with a third at Doncaster, over an extended 3m (good). Stamina no issue and with a drop of 2lbs here, can once again dispute the leading positions once again for Sam Thomas.

Race 3 (2:25pm) SAINT PALAIS

In fine form at the backend of last year, scoring a treble, with victory at Newbury (3m 1f, soft), beating the useful Gericault Roque by 1.25 lengths, with the rest a further 11 lengths back. Was a tailed off, fourth of four in the Grade 2 – Towton Chase last month and will welcome the return to calmer waters here, with a revival of fortunes also expected.

Race 4 (3:00pm) JEPECK

Scorer of a surprise 40/1 victory at Wincanton (2m 5f, soft) in January, when 6.5 lengths clear of Blairgowrie and despite not adding to that since, has faired well enough, with successive seconds at Wincanton again and last time out at Chepstow (2m 7f, heavy), in a Class 2 contest. Not much seems to be expected of this Anthony Honeyball runner, but with Cameron Iles claiming 10lbs, he has genuine chances on recent form.

Race 5 (3:35pm) TIME TO GET UP

Showing a fair amount of consistency for Jonjo O’Neill, with two wins and four places in nine starts, including this very race, a year ago, when a length clear of Mighty Thunder. After a brief foray at AIntree in November, he returned last month, with a strong third in the Grade 3 – Grand National trial at Haydock, when 35 lengths adrift of winner, The Galloping Bear. Wears cheekpieces here and arguably looks the one to beat.

Race 6 (4:10pm) BRANSON MISSOURI

Maiden winner at the seventh time of asking, here at Uttoxeter (1m 7f, heavy) back in December and after a struggle at Exeter, she bounced back well to take a second at Wincanton (1m 7f, soft), behind the very strong No No Tonic, just seventeen days ago. Should run keenly here and has a big claim, with Gaot a big threat.
