Totesport are one of the most famous names in betting and have been a strong part of the racing scene for many years. They are also one of the leading bookmakers for pool betting, withTotesport’s Scoop 6 a great way to win big!
Wednesday’s races offered up a couple of surprises, with Raffle Prize taking the Queen Mary Stakes at 18/1 and Afaak bagging the Royal Hunt Cup at 20/1, meaning the prize fund rolls over once more to Thursday. We take a look at some of the leading favourites in the six races and from Royal Ascot and Chelmsford.
If the trend continues in the first Scoop 6 race of the day, then expect another decent priced winner in the Hampton Court Stakes at 3:05pm. However, with a trio of leading favourites separated by a single point, maybe that will change. Both Cape Of Good Hope And King Ottakar have drifted ever so slightly, making Fox Chairman the standout in the betting here. Eslewhere, both Sangarius and Roseman can put themselves in the mix too and cannot be ignored on what is a tough opening leg for punters.
GG Selection – CAPE OF GOOD HOPE
For the next leg, we switch to Chelmsford, for the 3:30pm John Lewis Handicap. Ten runners take part in this mile and a quarter race, and in the market at least, three runners looking most likely to bag the spoils here. One again, there is hardly anything between them in the betting ring, with Spanish Archer just ahead of El Ghazwani and Shareef Star, although the latter has drifted a little over night. However it’s Fayez that interests our GG tipsters today, and they are going for the fourth favourite to take a couple of scalps here.
Returning to Royal Ascot, we have what looks to be a pair of straightforward races here, with a large swathe of punters hoping for the favourites to do their job. First up, is the 3:40pm Ribblesdale Stakes, which should see a victory for hot favourite Fleeting under Ryan Moore, with Queen Power the only realistic challenger here.
And then in 4:20pm Ascot Gold Cup, the mighty Stradivaruis looks to make it seven straight victories over the two mile and three furlong trip, although both Cross Counter and Dee Ex Bee will both be looking to be the party poopers and stop the John Gosden trained favourite.
The penultimate leg of today Scoop 6 is the 5:00pm race, the Britannia Stakes, which features a small field of “just” THIRTY runners!
There are joint favourites for the race in Migration and King Ademar, with the latter shortening by several points over the last 24 hours. Even without the sheer numbers, this is a toughy to call and barring the aforementioned King Ademar, there really isn’t much action in the ring of note, with at least half a dozen runners sitting no more than a couple of points behind the favourites, including GG selection Motafaawit
And we finish with the 5:35pm King George V Stakes over the mile and three furlong trip, as twenty runners look to grab some glory. Yet again, it’s a trio of runners who look head and shoulders ahead in the markets, with a blanket covering Constantinople, Sinjaari and Sir Ron Priestley. The rest at 10/1 bar, may possibly throw up a Placepot selection, but expect a winner to come from the front three in the market here.
