1: SIR BUSKER (4:30pm Ascot (3 votes)

Strong record over C&D with a run of 1433 in that time and placed third, just 2.5 lengths behind Palace Pier in the Group 1 – Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot (1m, good to firm) in June. Recent form suggests he is in good nick overall, with a third in the Listed – Fortune Stakes at Sandown a month ago and despite a high mark is expected to be involved at the business end of proceedings here.

2: HAMISH (1:25pm Ascot) (3 votes)

Four wins in eight starts, including the Group 3 – September Stakes at Kempton (1m 3f, a/w) last time out, when beating odds on favourite, Hukum by a neck. Was narrowly beaten by a neck to race rival Trueshan, a year ago at Newbury and after that win last month, looks capable of comfortably staying this 1m 7f trip. Genuine chances and has seen some market interest.

3: ART POWER (2:00pm Ascot) (2 votes)

Won four in a row including the Lacken Stakes at Naas back in June of 2020, but surprisingly took another nine runs to add to that, when grabbing the victory at Curragh last time out in the Group 3 – Renaissance Stakes, easing to a 5 length win. Has been there or thereabouts in Group 1’s prior and a patient ride, similar to the one over in ireland can see them thrive once more. Strong claims and clear favourite for the race.

4: PALACE PIER (3:10pm Ascot) (2 votes)

The Gosden trained Palace Pier, goes in as favourite for the race, having won eight of nine races run, including the Lockinge Stakes at Newbury (1m, good to soft) and the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot (1m, good to firm) in June, beating Lope Y Fernandez by 1.5 lengths. He struck again over in France, winning the Prix De Haras in August and looked in fine form to beat Poetic Flare by a neck. Set to battle Baeed for the spoils here.

5: ADDEYBB (3:50pm Ascot) (1 votes)

Winner of this race last year, when beating Skalleti by 2.25 lengths. Willie Haggas’s runner has picked up two Group 1 wins in Australia since, including the Queen Elizabeth Stakes in April. He placed second on return to the UK, in the Coral Eclipse at Sandown, losing by 3.5 lengths to St Mark’s Basilica, but ahead of Mishriff. Stong claims on that form and another who should feature.
