Race 1 (12:00pm) PARTY BUSINESS

A three race maiden, who has placed in each contest so far. The last of run, saw them place second over C&D back in March, when just 1.5 lengths adrift of surprise 25/1 winner, Black Poppy, with odds on favourite, Blairgowrie 9 lengths behind in third. Makes hurdles debut today and looks a very capable prospect, if fully fit. Strong claims and expected to be in the mix for the spoils.

Race 2 (12:30) PRECIOUS ELEANOR

Placed seven times in eleven starts for Henry Daly, before finally picking up a deserved victory at Ludlow (2m 5f, good) back in March, in what was a competitive four runner contest, beating Wynn House by 3 lengths. She fell in her last outing of the season, but returned last month, with a second at Fakenham (2m 5f, good), behind the useful Barbados Blue on chasing debut and has scope for further improvement and with Sam Twiston-Davies onboard.

Race 3 (1:05pm) JOYFUL KIT

Six race maiden, who picked up their only place result, when third at Down Royal (2m, good) in a mares flat race, back in August, finishing 8.75 lengths adrift of odds on favourite, Hi Stranger. She placed fourth on hurdling debut at Plumpton (1m 7f, good to soft) a fortnight ago, shaping as though further was needed, with this 2m 5f trip looking ideal. Looks a genuine contender, if performing as hoped on this extended trip.

Race 4 (1:40pm) STEPNEY CAUSEWAY

Four wins in six, since joining Dan Skelton’s yard, after a strong start under Michael Bell. His latest victory came at Ayr (2m, good) in his penultimate start back in April, easing to a 19 length victory. He found the step up in class at Cheltenham last month, a little too much on seasonal return, going off a little too quick for his jockey’s liking. Makes chase debut in this contest and has strong claims.

Race 5 (2:15pm) GETALEAD

Has showed improved form, since returning from a break, placing second at Ludlow (1m 7f good) last month, after an eleven month gap. He then went one better, when taking the spoils at Wincanton (2m 5f, good), beating Translink by a nose in a handicap hurdle, three weeks ago. More to come and should be in the hunt for the spoils.

Race 6 (2:50pm) VINTAGE CLOUDS

Now 11-yo, this experienced campaigner, showed he still had plenty to offer, when taking the spoils in the Grade 3 Ultima at the Cheltenham Festival (3m 1f, soft) last March, winning by 5.5 lengths. Returned to action, with a disappointing fifth of six at Kelso (3m 2f, good) last month, but clearly needed the run, with much more expected this time around.
