Recently ended a run of 25 races without a win, by taking the spoils last time out (28/1) at Wincanton (1m 7f, good to firm), in a modest contest last month, finishing 0.75 lengths clear of second, with the rest 3 lengths and more back. Form looks decent compared to the field and if the rain can stay away, his chances will improve further. Each-way bet looks the solid option for a runner with a genuine chance of taking the spoils.
3:35pm Clonmel (4 Places) The Inbetween – 14/1
Improved since debut in September, with successive thirds at Cork (2m 4f, good) last month and at Fairyhouse (2m 5f, soft). Has room for improvement after just four runs and looks to be a solid price for backers. Has applied himself to different conditions, so weather isn’t a factor.
4:30p Chelmsford (4 Places) Gosnay Gold – 15/2
Finished third on only visit here (6f, a/w), back in August, finishing just 1.5 lengths behind the winner, but has failed to continue the progress in three successive runs since, culminating with a tenth at Wolverhampton (1m a/w), three weeks ago. Deserves market interest based on that sole run here and worth an each-way selection here.
