Saturday’s ToteScoop 6 brings a trio of races from York on day four of the Ebor meeting, along with three races from Goodwood. Five of the races play host to thirteen runners or less, giving punters a good shot at the big prize, while a quartet of the races are raced at a mile or less. Check out the favourites across each race, along with the GG selection in each one, below:

The opening race is a group 2 race over a mile and playing host to just six runners. Skardu is the narrow favourite and finished fourth in the St James’s Palace Stakes last time out. A win in the Craven Stakes at Newmarket back in April arguably backs up their status as market leader.
Behind the leader, GG pick Duke Of Hazzard looks to make it three on the spin, having won the SIr Henry Cecil Stakes and the Bonham’s at Goodwood, while Beat Le Bon will be looking for a fourth success in a row, which included the Golden Mile at this track.
OR and RPR leader, Happy Power is the outsider of the quartet, but the winner of the Ganton Stakes at York back in June has course experience which could help here.
It’s a tough opener for Scoop 6 players
GG Selection – DUKE OF HAZZARD
The next race is a mile and five furlong, class two outing, with thirteen runners battling for the spoils. Strong favourite for the race is First In Line, who comes in off the back of two class five wins in three career starts, winning by six lengths at Doncaster last time out and looks a horse with bags of improvement still to come
Around five runners looks set to challenge, with Eminence and Keifer among those in that group, along with GG selection Land Of Oz, who has won their last three outings at class four level, including last time out at Salisbury.
The third race of this Scoop 6 is a group three race over seven furlongs and featuring seven runners. Boomer is the close favourite here and comes in off the back of a first win in her second career start, in a class four at Newbury, with a three and a half length margin, with more expected of this runner.
Behind the favourite is Shadn who is the joint OR leader among the field. Having won a class one, also at Newbury last time out. It remains to be seen, if this was an anomaly, with the caution of a thirteenth place finish in her previous class one trip, worthy of note, but if they replicate the form of the last race, they should be hard to beat.
Alpinista looks worthy of some attention, with a debut two and a half length win at Epsom and joint OR and RPR leader Dark Lady has strong class one performances in recent outings and could be a good 6/1 selection for some punters.

The second half of this Scoop 6, begins with the CIty Of York Stakes over seven furlongs, with this group two race hosting ten runners. Laurens is the clear favourite for the race and expected to go on to take the spoils by many, however since winning the Sun Chariot at Newmarket last year, they have picked up one place in three outings, so they will be looking to reaffirm their dominance once again.
Behind the favourite Le Brivido and Cape Byron look the most likely to challenge, while the GG selection is Shine So Bright, who won the listed European Free Handicap at Newmarket back in April.
GG Selection – SHINE SO BRIGHT
For the penultimate race, we have another seven furlong sprint, as twelve runners take on this class two in the last race from featured from Goodwood. This looks another difficult selection for punters, with at least half the field in genuine contention for the win.
Merely a point and a half separates Gossiping, Oh This Is Us, Salute The Soldier and Kimifive in the market, with all offering solid arguments for why they can win.
The GG selection is however, an outsider in Pattie, who is around 12/1, with the Mick Channon runner impressing in a class three at Newbury last time out when winning by a head over the useful Ripp Orf.
3:40pm York
The final race is the big one of the day, the million pound SkyBet Ebor Handicap, as twenty-two entries take on the mile and five furlong trip. The strong favourite is Raheen House, who has targeted this race with recent runs here, resulting two place finishes, including a third last time out in the Silver Cup Stakes.
Behind the market leader, there are three in the mix, with RPR leader Kings Advice, a winner of their last two races at class two level, OR leader Withhold, who has won the last three trips made, although softer ground may be needed and GG selection Ben Vrackie who will be looking to return from a blip in form, after several place finishes across class one and two company.
