2:20pm – MIGHTY MIND

Seven race maiden, who picked up their best career result last time out, when second at Lingfield (1m 2f, a/w), when 2 lengths adrift of Janus. Simon Pearce’s charge has not done so well on turf previously, but it’s hoped that this latest performance is the first sign of him challenging for more wins. Benoit De La Sayette claims 3lbs here and could well get a bit more from him.

3:50pm – ROGUE STAR

Promising Tom Clover runner, who has been in and around the business end of races and has looked good in recent runs since returning to action and switching from the all-weather, with a fourth at Haydock (1m, good) and fourth at Sandown (7f, good) in handicap contests. More to come on turf, off the back of those performances and has strong claims here.

4:20pm – CLIPSHAM GOLD

Nine race maiden, who has shown improvement, since switching from Michael Appleby’s yard to KP De Foy’s stables, with successive place finishes. The first of those came at Lingfield (7.5f, good) last month, when third on return to action, after a 165 day break, before improving to finish second last time out at Doncaster (7f, good to firm), when just a head behind The Grey Wolf. Rise of just 2lbs looks within his limit here, with the main concern coming from Clement Danes. Strong chances overall.
