Cheltenham Festival: 5 favourites who WON’T win at the Cheltenham Festival

With a month to go until the Cheltenham Festival, the excitement is building ahead of the National Hunt extravaganza taking place at Prestbury Park between Tuesday 10 March and Friday 13 March.

Final prep runs are being taken, whilst the betting is beginning to take shape, as horses show their ability on the track. The 2026 showpiece has some hugely competitive races, with the likes of the Cheltenham Gold Cup and Champion Hurdle looking two extremely wide open affairs.

Our resident Cheltenham fanatic Dave Young is back with another video, where he picks out FIVE favourites that he feels won’t win at the Cheltenham Festival.

In an in-depth video, Dave takes a look at the favourites for most of the races, at the time of recording, and picks out those that could prove vulnerable come raceday.

Is Lulamba a cert in the Arkle? Do you take The New Lion in a wide open Champion Hurdle? Should Fact To File head to the Ryanair or Gold Cup?

Dave Young discusses everything Cheltenham Festival, and picks out those that won’t be winning!
