GREATGADIAN has run well on two starts this season on unfavoured ground, and this looks like a good opportunity to score returned to the scene of his only turf victory. David Eagan taking over in the saddle from a claimer is only a positive. He was caught on the wrong side of the track at Newmarket last time but still finished upsides today’s favourite, Point Lynas, who was well placed among the pace. He has crept down the handicap and is reliable, so it’s worth chancing returning to this venue to get his head back in front. Back him no shorter than 4/1.
