Weekend Watch tipster Andrew Mount has put forward a 33/1 selection in Saturday’s Betfair Exchange Handicap Hurdle at Ascot. The GG Weekend Watch team picked their bets for the weekend’s races live on ITV Racing on Thursday.
Mount is opting for value in the competitive 14:25 Handicap Hurdle. he sides with Hurricane Bay as an each-way contender because of a wide-open contest.
His pick is trained by Lucy Wadham, who has enjoyed a solid recent spell of form. She and her team have registered three winners from seven runners over the previous fortnight.
Mount keen on Hurricane Bay reverting to hurdles
Hurricane Bay will be reverting from fences back to hurdles, and is set to wear a first-time visor. Explaining his reasoning, Mount said: “Lucy Wadham’s got a good recent record with chase to hurdle switchers. Since the spring of 2016, six winners from 22 runners for a profit of £24.75.”
Andrew’s selection was one of many given on the Weekend Watch, and this can be viewed in its entirety on YouTube.
The Weekend Watch podcast team is made up of Kate Tracey, Andrew Mount and Dave Young. They preview all of the big ITV races every Saturday, with their knowledge and acumen providing punters with winners on a weekly basis.
