In the 2.10, Maybe I Wont looks to follow up an unlucky effort over the course and distance four days ago, where the James Moffatt trained seven year old just failed to beat hot favourite Sud Pacifique. His form is consistent and it looks as though his turn to win should come today. Hidden Horizons heads the market in an interesting little novice hurdle with mainly Point-to-Point form to go on. But this sister to winning bumper and hurdle horse Lovey Dovey has come over from Ireland and with Campbell Gillies in the saddle, is clearly fancied to win on her debut under rules. Alvarado should have a simple enough task to follow up his second to a well handicapped horse last time out. He won three novice chases for Howard Johnston and clearly has the ability to warrant his prohibitive odds. He looks a solid horse in this trio to potentially land the 15/2 enhanced treble. £10 on this treble would usually pay £64.80, but now you’ll return £85 for the same stake if all three manage to win!

The second enhanced odds treble is for three of John Wade’s runners to be placed at the track this afternoon. The first is General Hardi in the 3.50. This experienced eleven year old has a good record at marathon trips and looks sure to run his race again under Brian Harding, having shown himself to be in good form when second at Perth last time out. Call Me Mulligan in the 4.25 hunter chase over 3m2f must have a big chance of being involved following an easy point-to-point victory a few days ago. He is another with experience under rules and his regular partner J Dawson takes off 5lbs today. Last of the John Wade trio is Letterpress in the 5.25, who’ll be ridden by the in-form Alexander Voy. This recent course and distance winner will have to overcome a 7lb rise in the weights to win again, but he should be very difficult to keep out of the frame! 11/2 could be a good punt if you fancy these three to be involved at the finish and get placed.
