Ante-post favourite Ylang Ylang continues to dominate the market for the 2024 Oaks run at Epsom on Friday, 31st May. She was declared on Wednesday by her trainer, Aidan O’Brien, and can be backed at best odds of 2/1 for the end-of-week showpiece.
O’Brien is also set to send out Oaks second favourite Rubies Are Red. The subject of sustained support since her previous run, the daughter of Galileo remains a maiden after three starts, but could not have caught the eye more when storming home for second in the Lingfield Oaks Trial. Her best price has tumbled to 7/2.
Another Irish contender is next in for Dermot Weld, with the visitors dominating the betting. Ezeliya is the only one of the top three to have won a recognised trial for the Oaks, claiming the Group 3 Salsabil Stakes at Navan, with fellow Irish raider Caught U Looking back in fourth. Ezeliya is available at 4/1 with Caught U Looking among the outsiders at 66/1.
Ralph Beckett sends a wave of runners to compete in the race on Friday. His quartet is headlined by Cheshire Oaks winner Forest Fairy, who is unbeaten after only two career starts, although stablemate You Got To Me also won her trial at Lingfield. The former is 8/1, the latter 14/1, with other Beckett representatives Treasure (16/1) and Seaward (100/1) also looking to make an impact.
