Get the Echo "GG Racing Results" Skill now on Alexa!

At GG.CO.UK we pride ourselves on innovation and now you can get horse racing results and information on the Amazon Echo via Alexa voice control app! We have launched the “GG Racing Results” Skill, with which you can access the results & SPs of races, the current courses racing, get tips for any race, best bets and lots more…Here’s how it works…

Amazon has now sold over 10 million Echo home voice control devices and they continue to fly off the shelves. Driven by the “Alexa” voice recognition and command character, the Echo is a very useful tool, providing users the ability to do everything from exploring their TV channels, media apps and listening to their favourite music, to controlling the lights in your home or checking train times; all with simple voice commands.

You can now download the “GG Results Skill” from the Alexa app and add it to the list of things your Amazon Echo can do for you. It has 4 basic types of command, which are: Get Course, Get Result, Get Time and Get Tips. Using the opening command "Alexa, ask GG…", you can access loads of useful daily horse racing information from GG.CO.UK….

Alexa will respond with the name of the horse and the starting price for the first query. In the second, Alexa will provide the winner and placed horses and their prices. You can also ask Alexa what courses are racing tomorrow (or today/yesterday).

The Free GG Tips section of the website is hugely popular and the final way you can utilise the GG Racing Results Skill with your Amazon Echo is by asking Alexa for tips:

“Alexa,​ ​ask​ ​GG,​ ​what​ ​is​ ​the​ ​tip​ ​of​ ​the​ ​day?”

“Alexa,​ ​ask​ ​GG,​ ​what​ ​is​ ​the​ ​bet​ ​of​ ​the​ ​day?”

The skill will recognise you are asking for the tip of the day and will search all of the races to find you our free tip for the race…

To request a free tip on a specific race, simply ask Alexa one of the following sample questions:

“Alexa,​ ​ask​ ​GG,​ ​what​ ​is​ ​the​ ​tip​ ​for​ ​the​ ​​ ​race​ ​at​ ​​ ​”

or

“Alexa,​ ​ask​ ​GG,​ ​what​ ​is​ ​the​ ​tip​ ​for​ ​the​ ​2.30​ ​race​ ​at​ ​Bangor​ ​today?”

….and she will respond with just what you asked for!
