GG.COM is announcing today some important changes and additions to our SMS Text based services.
GG-Alert
For some years, this valuable service has been kindly sponsored by Ladbrokes allowing us to offer it to our users completely free of charge. However, this support has now ended and in order to continue to make the service available we need to introduce a small charge for the SMS element.
Looking at other services around the Internet, we have decided not to introduce a subscription element as many do, but simply charge for texts at a cost of 50 pence per text. Our records show that on average, users receive about four texts per month meaning that at that volume the service would cost only £2.00 per month.
We are confident that our product provides excellent value offering, as it does, the option to filter your horses or trainer selections by course, going, distance or a combination of these variables.
Email alerts will remain free of charge.
The new GG-Alert system, which is launching today, will run in tandem with the old system for a week before the old system is discontinued. From Wednesday 10th May we will require your permission to continue sending you text alerts. GG-Mobile
In addition to our Alerts, we are also launching today a comprehensive package of racing information direct to your mobile phone. Don’t be handicapped in future if you’re not in front of your PC! By memorising some simple commands listed on the GG.COM website, users will be able to get a comprehensive range of pre and post daily racing information including; News, Tips, Fixtures and Results.
