One yard going through a real purple patch at present is that of Harry Eustace, who is quite an incredible 9/24 (36%) with his runners on turf in 2022, including winners at 6/1, 7/1 and even 22/1. The Newmarket handler aims to continue this terrific spell with a trio of entrants across the Tuesday cards – which make up a 159/1 treble. Check out our thoughts on his runners here, alongside Hollywoodbet‘s new customer offer of £20 In Free Bets when you bet £10.
MYSTICAL APPLAUSE – (1.45 Salisbury, William Hill Play Responsibly British EBF Restricted Novice Stakes) 4/1
Harry Eustace has the sole runner on Salisbury’s seven-race Tuesday card in the form of MYSTICAL APPLAUSE, who runs in the meeting’s opening 6f novice stakes.
Mystical Applause runs in the recognisable Jeff Smith silks and is from a family that the owner knows well, being the sixth foal out of the Listed-placed sprinter Siren’s Gift.
This Aclaim colt has had just the sole start to date, finishing fourth when sent off a 14/1 shot for a Leicester maiden just over a fortnight ago. The Eustace stable isn’t renowned for prepping one to score the first time out, so improvement from that debut effort can be expected, and given so Mystical Applause looks one for the shortlist here.

LUMLEY – (5.50 Wetherby, JM Finn Wealth Management Restricted Novice Stakes) 3/1
Harry Eustace has a pair of runners on Wetherby’s evening card, the first of which being LUMLEY, who runs in the track’s 7f novice stakes.
This daughter of The Gurkha is from the family of Group 1 winning juvenile Amonita, and although she didn’t make the track at 2 herself, she has shown ability in a trio of starts this season, coming closest to getting off the mark when beaten just a neck in a Nottingham maiden (turf debut) last month.
It is interesting that connections persist down the maiden/novice route with this filly despite her being given what looks on paper to be a workable opening handicap mark of 73, and Paul Mulrennan takes over in the saddle today.
Roger Varian’s Kind Gesture is expected to go off a hot favourite for this on the back of a respectable debut second, but the more experienced Lumley is unlikely to go down without a fight.

ASTROMAN – (8.40 Wetherby, IRM Supports Coppafeel! Apprentice Handicap) 7/1
Harry Eustace’s final Tuesday runner comes in Wetherby’s concluding 2m apprentice handicap, where he sends out ASTROMAN.
This 5yo is just 1-18 in his career to date, yet he ran a couple of decent races in defeat over hurdles last season, and although only eighth on his return to the level at Wolverhampton last time, that came over an extended 1m – a trip well short of his optimum.
Going back up to this 2m distance will suit Astroman, and he’s currently 3lb below his only previous winning mark.
Young Christian Howarth has his first ride for Harry Eustace this evening, and the apprentice is enjoying a particularly fruitful time of things at present having ridden three winners from his last nine rides.
