”…She really impressed me at Lingfield, and the form looks solid, too…”

KEMPTON
1.25pm EBF NOVICES STAKES
She is drawn six of six and carries a penalty, but those are minor quibbles when you look at how impressive she was from the wide stall at Lingfield on her debut. I was very taken with her in making all that day – she broke the track record – and the form has a solid look to it with the runner-up going one better at Beverley on Wednesday and the third running well in defeat next time. As I said, she has a penalty here and faces four unknown quantities, including the well-bred Godolphin newcomer, but they will need to be very smart to beat her, I think.
Electric Ladyland is among our racing tips for Saturday.
2.00pm RACINGtv HANDICAP
Again, I am drawn widest in nine but hopefully we can overcome that. He won first-time-out for me last season and enjoyed a very successful campaign. And hopefully a gelding operation since we last saw him can see him progress still further. Robert has always thought that he is a very talented sprinter who would get better with age.
3.45pm SNOWDROP FILLIES STAKES
Archie continues to have his horses in great form, and Vivianite makes his debut for him here, having joined him for 160,000gns from Ireland in December. She developed into a smart filly last season, and hopefully there is more to come from her in her new surroundings. She couldn’t have joined a yard in better form at the moment, that’s for sure, and I gather that they have been very happy with her.
4.15pm WISE BETTING HANDICAP
He has been at the top of her game all year, and 6f around here clearly suits very well. There is no reason why he can’t run his race again, though it’s just a matter of whether the handicapper has got hold of him now, and he is also 2lb out of the weights.
BRIGHTON
6.20pm CALL STARSPORTS HANDICAP
He hasn’t been running that badly of late and has now come down to a mark of just 46, so hopefully he has reached at a level from which he can be competitive. The stable has been among the winners too, so I can see him going okay here.
7.20pm( FIRST FOR INDUSTRY CLASSIFIED STAKES
She seems to have run a blinder when fourth at Chelmsford on her Flat reappearance, though she had been in action over jumps. She has a tough task at the weights in this Classified Stakes but she may not be that far away if she can build on that Chelmsford run.
7.50pm STREAMLINE HANDICAP
He didn’t run up his best at Kempton last time but he has been given a break since that run in January – he had been very busy beforehand – and he can clearly be competitive off this mark. And he has plenty of form around here, where he has won three times, on quick ground. I expect him to go well.
