One of horse racing’s biggest international races takes place on Tuesday 4th November at Flemington racecourse, as the 2025 Melbourne Cup attracts some of the elite staying handicappers in the world to battle it out in the ‘race that stops the nation’.
Taking place in the early hours of Tuesday morning in the UK, this year’s Melbourne Cup will see Joseph O’Brien’s Al Riffa aim to strike gold Down Under, but the Irish raider will face a whole host of lively challengers in the 2m showpiece event.
