MINELLA PLUS (3:10 Catterick)
Although he has to shoulder top weight, MINELLA PLUS will be tough to beat once more after the five-year-old put in a hat-trick winning performance from the front at Musselburgh when last seen.
That last time out success was his first in handicap company having previously landed novice events at the aforementioned track and penultimately over Wednesday’s course and distance.
The handicapper has raised him 5lb for that latest Musselburgh victory but that doesn’t look insurmountable considering how comfortable the margin of victory was that day. There was considerable market support when LATINO FLING made his stable debut for new connections at Sedgefield back in November after joining from Stella Barclay’s Lancashire based yard.
The seven-year-old travelled much the best for the majority of the 2m5f contest before lacking the finishing kick of runaway winner Pure Surf who was well on top at the finish.
