After a busy weekend’s racing Taunton plays host to a competitive Monday card that features not one but two Class 3 contests. Our expert has produced his verdict on each race which you can check out below, along with an exclusive bet £10 get £20 in free bets Virgin Bet sign up offer.
Simon Stacey Memorial Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase (2:30pm, 2m)
All Dancer was a winner in France for previous connections and warrants respect on debut for the Nicholls yard, particularly if the money comes for him.
Gary Moore’s Golden Boy Grey is relatively unexposed but didn’t look a natural on last month’s chase debut and that form has been let down since.
Rockstar Ronnie was a fortuitous winner at Kempton last time and although running off the same mark here can be opposed, particularly with an easy lead unlikely due to Sarasota Star’s presence in the line-up.
Should that aforementioned duo go a good clip here it is likely to set things up for QUOI DE NEUF, who put up a career-best showing when blitzing his rivals here last month.
The margin of victory there far undervalued Quoi De Neuf’s superiority, and although up 10lb he remains on a workable rating on his peak hurdles form, which includes a close-up fourth in the 2019 Greatwood Hurdle.

Stables Business Park Handicap Hurdle (3:00pm, 2m3f)
Cap Du Mathan was quite a smart novice hurdler back in the winter of 2019/20 but the long absence means a watching brief can only be advised.
Stablemate Birds Of Prey could only finish a distant eighth on reappearance at Exeter last month but his form figures here read an impressive 22113, so an improved showing cannot be out of he question.
Skandiburg looks a little high in the handicap, whilst **Canford Light must bounce back from a fall at Aintree last month.
David Pipe’s Leoncavallo is consistent and should run his race once more, but he’s winless in this sphere since May 2018 and remains 6lb above that mark.
C&D winner Aggy With It is returning from a break, and was well held off this mark on her only handicap outing to date.
The vote goes to MASTERS LEGACY, who took a competitive Chepstow handicap hurdle on seasonal debut and came close to following up at Newbury afterwards.
He disappointed somewhat back at the Berkshire track last time, but that came in a competitive affair, and he is dropped in class on his return to Taunton – where his form figures currently read 2114. With these better ground conditions also in his favour, he rates the one to beat.
Arrivederci has been off the track since February but he had some useful form to his name last season and has won fresh in the past. He is backed to give the selection most to think about.
