There’s a good looking card on the all-weather at Wolverhampton on Tuesday, with seven races to get stuck into, all sponsored by BetUK & BetMGM.
GG editor Tom Aldridge runs through the full card, giving his selections for all seven races on the card, including a strong fancy in the lucky last!

5.15pm – Boost Your Acca At BetMGM Nursery Handicap (Class 6)
FORGOTTEN TREASURE remains on the same mark here, despite a good effort finishing third over this trip earlier this month and I think she’s a fairly solid option to side with in the opener. Prior to that effort, she finished less than two lengths behind Nouveaux last month, and she’s now 5lb better off with that rival here, so I fully expect her to reverse that form. Plenty of the other runners are out of form currently, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Nouveaux did chase the selection home, but I’m confident Forgotten Treasure will prove too good and can get us off to a winning start.
5.45pm – Win £2,000,000 With BetMGM’s Golden Goals Maiden Stakes (Class 5)
I had this race down as a straight shootout between CERVARO DELLA SALA and Miss Anya, and with the latter being a non-runner, it made my choice fairly easy! Paul & Oliver Cole’s has finished in the top three in all three of her races to date, including last time out where she was leading up until the final furlong, where she became outpaced. The drop back in trip should suit her and I expect her to go close here. The high draw is a slight worry but I still think she’s the value play to take on the market principals with.
6.15pm – BetUK. Home Of The Acca-Fenwa Maiden Stakes (Class 5)
The four runners with experience hardly impressed in their debut runs, with the best of those finishing a well beaten fifth, so it could pay to side with the Godolphin debutant NATURE WATCH. Both Charlie Appleby and James Doyle are in red-hot form of late (26% + 25% strike-rate respectively in the past two weeks), and the selection wouldn’t have to be anything special on debut to win this. Charlie Appleby has an impressive 33% strike-rate at Wolverhampton this season and James Doyle has an even better 35% strike-rate on the all-weather course this season, so they look a lethal combination to side with in a race lacking much quality opposition.
6.45pm – Bet £10 Get £40 At BetMGM Fillies’ Novice Stakes (Class 4)
Shane Foley travels over for to ride STRUTTING on Tuesday, his sole ride on the card, and I think it could prove a worthwhile journey. The top Irish jockey has a 30% strike-rate at Wolverhampton in his career, and he was on board the selection when she was runner-up at Newmarket back in September. The third that day, Rochelle, has since run out a comfortable winner next time out to boost that form, and I think the Frankel filly could take some stopping here.

The 2023/24 Jumps Season is underway and we’ve got all our team to give their ’10 to follow’ for the NH season. Next up it’s the turn of GG’s chief editor Tom Aldridge to give his selections, which include one he thinks could take on Galopin Des Champs in the Gold Cup, plus one he…
Wed 25 Oct 20237.15pm – BetMGM: It’s Showtime Restricted Maiden Stakes (Class 5)
I’m not a huge fan of this race, with no real form to go on and plenty of newcomers who could be anything. I’m going to side with George Boughey’s WARMING, who put in a good effort on debut to finish fifth, despite being slowly away out of the stalls. He’s sure to come on for the run, and he looks a good value E/W play in a race that looks wide open.
7.45pm – Best Racing Odds Guaranteed At BetMGM Nursery (Class 4)
The step back up to six furlongs looked a wise move for BAZBALL, who was unlucky not to win earlier this month over this trip, and with a clearer route I fully expect him to go one better. He had a nightmare passage that day, waiting for room before having to switch out and still only finished three quarters of a length off the winner. He’s been raised 2lb for that effort but I think he’s still well handicapped and I expect him to go off as favourite and land a second course victory.
8.15pm – Stay Golden With BetMGM Safer Gambling Restricted Maiden Stakes (Class 5)
This won’t take much winning, and it’s hard to get away from Archie Watson’s INNER TEMPLE. The colt made a pleasing debut, running on well to finish third, despite having being slowly away and having his path blocked at a crucial point. Both horses who finished ahead of him were first and second throughout, whereas Inner Temple came from the rear, so providing he breaks from the stalls better I would be shocked if he didn’t win this.
