Are you a tipster? Of course you are; you study the form, you’re up to date with the news, you have your own theories about in-form trainers, up and coming jockeys and promising two year old. But do you ever wonder if you could beat the best of them at their own game? Ever wanted to see your name at the top of the tipster leader board?
Well, from 2nd October, all this is possible right here on GG.COM. We’re launching ‘Tipzone’ our new tip trading competition in which you are invited to participate for free in an ongoing competition to see who the best tipster amongst GG.COM’s growing usership is.
Tipzone is built around the same sophisticated system that our professional tipsters use when filing their columns. Players are able to pick races from the database, make selection – to win or to place, to choose the price available (from a live feed) or select the SP and even make a comment about their choice of selection.
On registering for Tipzone, Players will receive a notional ‘bank’ and this will be topped up on ‘pay-day’ every Saturday. Competition will be on-going with the main criteria for success being % return upon investment, which we believe is the fairest way to make a broad assessment. Other criteria like actual profit, numbers of tips placed and strike rate will also be displayed on the leader boards.
We will have monthly competitions and will be launching a scheme whereby monthly winners will be offered incentives through the award of affinity points which may then be redeemed against value offered elsewhere on the site. However, we believe Tipzone’s great strength, beyond it broad competitive scope, will be its flexibility; it may be used by individuals to test staking plans or other tipping theories, or by groups who may wish to set up open or closed leagues to play to set criteria across maybe a festival or a number of classic races, for example.
Tips will be settled in real time and leader boards will display the actual position by week by month or across any time period requested.
