NAP: Dance In The Grass – 2.35 Doncaster (5/4 generally)

DANCE IN THE GRASS is well clear of today’s rivals racing on level terms and can continue her progress to remain unbeaten over three starts.

She won a Listed contest at Sandown last time out and the form has received a timely boost with the second that day Fairy Cross winning a Group 3 at Goodwood. She’s rated clear of her main rivals today and the winning street should continue with normal progress. The booking of William Buick who continues his hot run of form is also a boost and Mark & Charlie Johnston’s filly can go in again.

Two-time winner Frankness and stablemate Ferrari Queen are the two dangers but may not be quite up to her level.

Double

Zainalrab – 3.45 Doncaster (15/8 generally)

Destiny’s Spirit- 1.50 Chepstow (6/4 generally)

ZAINALRAB completed a hat trick in fine style last time out in a good 0-95 handicap at Sandown. He should be going onto better things in the future having beaten some solid handicappers in very good style. This will be only his fifth start since May and Roger Varian will be looking to pick up some more prizes at the back end of the season.

The yard are in fine form at the minute and have been raiding the Northern tracks well this season with plenty of high profile winners, and Zainalrab can add to that list.

DESTINY’S SPIRIT got off the mark in her sixth race here 10 days ago and the daughter of Lightning Spear can make up for lost time by making it two in a row at the same track.

She was put up 6lb for that win but that is negated by the claim of jockey Mark Winn which puts her firmly in the driving seat here to capitalise. This race is no better than the last one so she should have no problems with the opposition and now she has her head in front she can go from strength to strength.

Outsider

Thibault – 2.15 Epsom (5/1 generally)

THIBAULT race off the same rating as last week’s second after a lay off and looks likely to go close in this. That second was over the course and distance so the trials of Epsom hold no fear for him. He was staying on really well that day and if he can get better pace here will be bang there at the finish. There are plenty of pace angles in this larger field so that should be secured.

He won’t mind any of the forecast rain around tomorrow as he’s a duel-purpose horse who goes on anything. He’ll need some luck in running but has a great shout on what he did here ten days ago.
