Saffie Osborne’s mount Green Falcon has been the subject of a significant market move ahead of the 3.44pm at Ffos Las this afternoon. There has also been support for Magnatura at Leicester as those two horses represent the most intriguing betting moves of this Monday’s racing.
Green Falcon 7/2 from 10/1 @ Ffos Las
She will still be riding the high of her St Leger victory a week ago, but Saffie Osborne could be in line for a fifth winner since then in the 3.44 at Ffos Las. Green Falcon has seen sustained support in the market, moving from a 10/1 median price into odds of 7/2 the morning of racing.
David Menuisier’s runner is yet to win in seven career starts. However, the son of Kameko was fourth over 1m3f at Haydock most recently and punters may be latching onto the step up in distance today. He will race over 1m6f on soft ground, a potentially potent combination. His mark of 71 is also 1lb lower than for his latest run, further adding to the factors which may have established his change in odds.
Magnatura 8/1 from 18/1 @ Leicester
Quicker ground than expected has seen a few non-runners at Leicester. The 4.47 race has maintained most of its competition though, with Magnatura the big market mover at the track. He is the mount of Kieran Shioemark in the contest.
An earlier price of 18/1 has been slashed to 8/1, having briefly been as short as 7/1 this morning. Tom Ward’s charge will appreciate the quicker going, while the drop to 1m may be another factor that has seen his price shorten.
