RARE CLOUDS never left the ‘swamp’ on the inside rail when a well-backed 11-2 shot at Leicester in December on his latest outing and his 22-length fifth was deserving of a major uplift.
He’s had wind surgery since and returned from a wind operation and a long break to place at 9-1 on his first outing last spring. That was off a mark of 107 and, though a 13-race maiden, he looks very backable each-way off 98 tonight.
