ARAMIS GREY does well in handicaps, winning seven of her 25 starts for a profit of £6.69, and also has a healthy strike-rate in fillies/mares races, recording form figures of 122112413 (4-9). She’s slightly frustrating in that she needs a strong pace but tends to find trouble when racing in big fields. She’s back in a fillies’ handicap after her respectable seventh of 15 against the boys at Windsor last time and should be bang there at the finish.
TIPPY TOES is the obvious danger, especially if allowed loose on the lead. She won over course and distance on her latest all-weather start and her Chester fourth can be forgiven as she made the running on the ‘dead’ rail.
NATCHEZ TRACE – Southwell 5.33 (1pt e/w – 6/1 WIll Hills, 11/2 Sky Bet, 888sport)
NATCHEZ TRACE has a poor strike-rate (1-17) but raced in the ‘swamp’ on the inside rail when only seventh at Chester last time and had been in good form before that, placing at Haydock and Chester in June.
He’s only had one previous all-weather outing, when a respectable fourth over an inadequate 9.4f trip at Wolverhampton in May. That came off a mark of 70 and he’s down to 67 this afternoon, suggesting each-way claims.
