ABDYS FLAME was a big eyecatcher in a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse in November, doing best of those to come from off the pace in a 125-1 fifth of 15. I tipped him at Leopardstown the following month when he made his handicap debut but the 12-1 shot could only finish 20th of the 26 runners under his amateur jockey.
