The six-year-old has joined Rebecca Menzies, who does pretty well at the first time of asking on the Flat with horses she takes over from other yards. His high draw and late-running style will be advantageous and he’s worth chancing at double-figure odds.

It was a case of the wider the better at Lingfield’s meeting on December 15 and the ‘dead’ rail made life incredibly difficult for those drawn low. The first three home in the opening 1m 0-60 handicap came from stalls 11, 10 and 9 of 11, with HEAT AND DUST (stall 6) catching the eye after taking the rail route.
Sir Mark Prescott’s 11-1 shot did well to finish sixth, just over three lengths behind the winner, and the cheekpieces could eke out some improvement today.
