Top tipster Andrew Mount was among the winner with Top Secret on Saturday (5-1 from 6-1) and has three bets on Sunday
INTERNATIONALDREAM – 2.40 York
Richard Fahey does well with his turf runners in first-time cheekpieces, especially if they’ve had a recent outing (within the past four weeks). Since the start of 2010, his record under such conditions stands at 30 winners from 156 runners (19.2% strike-rate) for a profit of £87.75 to a £1 level stake at SP. INTERNATIONALDREAM showed promise in sixth place at Doncaster in July on his first start since a gelding operation and has had excuses since, finding the soft ground and high draw against him at Glorious Goodwood before his Shergar Cup flop when failing to handle the track at Ascot. Back in April, he ran a fine third on fast ground behind Popmaster and Biskerstaffe at Pontefract and that pair are now rated much higher – Popmaster won off 9lb higher mark on Saturday and Bickerstaffe is 8lb higher. Internationaldream has 6f on fast ground for the first time since that run and is 9lb lower.
RED MISSILE & BRIGHT EYE EAGLE – 2.55 Perth
RED MISSILE was only ninth on the Flat at Musselburgh last time but they went hard up front that day and he actually did fourth best of the prominent racers. Two of the three others who raced up with the pace – who admittedly fared much better than Red Missile in second and third – both won next time and he looks very interesting on his handicap hurdle debut. His three hurdles runs have contained plenty of promise and he’s worth a small interest, with the yaard’s current quiet spell tempering confidence.
Of greater interest is BRIGHT EYED EAGLE, despite his third place at Cartmel when the 6-4 favourite last time. He actually did well to finish so close after racing in the deeper ground on the inside rail and the market has overreacted to that defeat.
